These are all things that I know, but none of this is really important. I used to think it was vital to know things, to feel safe in the learning and recounting of facts. I used to think it was possible to know enough to escape from the panic of not know- ing, but I realise now that you can never learn enough to protect yourself, not really.

gorgeous written and hauntingly romantic

Super engaging throughout. Romantic in the weirdest ways while stringing along a story that was so fun to put together as the book went on. Sad, but rewarding with a ton of beautiful lines.

Truly an amazing read. Extremely gripping and the descriptions of how things used to be are so realistic and slice of life that it becomes heartbreaking. The horror elements go really well with the emotional stuff.

Absolutely incredible book, exploring love, grief, trauma and relationships changing through all these things. depicted so beautifully through the lens of a science fiction/horror novel. It felt appropriately suspenseful and the ending was heartbreaking despite my anticipating its ending awhile before. I will be thinking about this book for a long time.
