I read this to my 7 and 10 yr old daughters. I needed a short book while waiting for a library hold. This one was perfect. It was a very cute story and we all enjoyed it.

An okay-story about a boy and his talking chicken, his mom hospitalized with a difficult pregnancy, and a fox on the loose, shaking down a hen house's chickens for their eggs.
