I felt like this whole book was a build-up with not a lot of action or payoff. I liked the production with having different narrators for each of the main characters, but the story wasn't that compelling to me. I feel like a lot of time was spent building everyone up as characters, but I wasn't really ever that sure why I should care about the characters and what they wanted. I'm going to read the next one because this one just felt like build-up for it, but I don't really feel strongly about this series.

So, so slow, BUT if it hadn't been, I would have loved it! Great characters, even if some came of immature throughout...The concept itself is very well done for me... Time travel, magic, secret libraries, empaths... a little bit of this and that. I enjoyed it and will check out the next one for sure!
