As I have said before James Patterson books are either a hit or a miss and this one was definitely a hit. I really enjoyed seeing the storyline develop and seeing more about Detective Bennett and his family. They are unique and I love how they are not perfect.

Not my favorite Michael Bennett story. I do love the Bennett family, though. A cop going on vacation with his family then getting involved in a case there just seemed a little far-fetched to me. I did like Sandy Coles and Sadie so hopefully we'll see them again. Overall, this was just alright.

Another great, quick Bennett book. The vacation angle made it different from most of the other books in the series. Patterson may be a book factory, but his stuff is always fun.

There is not much growth in the characters. Getting tired of them.

Great suspenseful read!
Good characters and a lot of twists and turns to keep you guessing and wondering what would happen next. I think everyone could relate to some aspect of this story. Great read!

This book was like getting caught up with family over the holidays. It lacked the thrills I have seen in past Bennett books, so I am giving it one less star. I enjoyed the plot as it seemed very current and relative to today’s headlines... so I remained interested until the end. No surprise plot twists as I was hoping, as The who done it was there all along.

Tiresome. I don't understand the positive reviews. This is one series I'll avoid in the future.
