This book is very taboo and at times I had a hard time getting through some of it.

Warning: do not go in blind. You really get what you are asking for with this one! Anyways, enjoyed the premise. Execution felt a tad off though. It’s like the MMC regressed to being a teenager for …what? to match her energy? Good spice, but mentioning the mom was a bit odd.

My first Q.B Tyler read and I’m already obsessed!!!
Most know I have an extreme love of age gap and forbidden romances but I’m not gonna lie I was nervous to dive into the stepfather/stepdaughter trope but once I started I was instantly hooked, I didn’t want to put this book down. Q.B Tyler’s writing just had me in awe I can’t wait to read more of her books!

Dominic has been in Stassia’s life for 7 years, Stassia had a huge crush on Dom when she first seen him but then he married her mom and stassia eventually turned her love into hate. Her and Dom would constantly butt heads and she done everything to get on his bad side but when tragedy strikes, each other is all they have and things begin to change between them.

This book had me picking my jaw up off the floor like holy shit what did I just read, it was captivating, addictive, forbidden, angsty, sinfully taboo in the most spicy excellent way! Like girl knows how to make those panties melt!!!

I'm usually into this trope but something about this one just didn't vibe with me. I think the problem was that the H was actually in love with his wife but only waited about 2 months to start a sexual relationship with her daughter. I would have preferred to have a bit of a time jump after the wife's death. It felt like the relationship was more about sex. I didn't really feel their emotional connection.
Also, how creepy is it that he was her 5th grade teacher? That really weirded me out.

*laughing nervously* what the fuck?

I enjoyed the book and it was just a steamy, quick read. The synopsis and the taboo trope is what pulled me into reading this. Stassia is the beginning of the story was my favorite but I did really grow to like her. I did really like Dominic and the storyline of the book. I love how caring and protecting Dominic was. The connection between Domninic and Stassia was very fun to read throughout the book, especially since their connection became so much more than just a stepfather/stepdaughter relationship. This was my first read by QB Tyler and I will definitely check out this author again for another try at her books, especially if they are just a steamy and quick to read!

After reading Unconditional I thought I would give this book a read, and even though I didn't like it as much as Unconditional it was still good.

A few thoughts about this book was even though it was more taboo, I felt as though the author did a good job at shifting their dynamics as a couple from daddyxdaughter to lovers. I wish that there was a scene of the couple telling their families about their new dynamic, because I love reading these taboo romances mainly for the drama. I felt this book was less chaotic, and because of this not as enjoyable.
