There is a good reason why my copy of this book doesn’t have a cover: because it didn’t sell at the bookstore that stripped the cover. An old friend gave me this book several years ago. He was working in the back room of a bookstore and gave me books that had had their covers ripped off because they didn’t sell. This book isn’t totally bad, but some of the writing is awful. If you are completely ignorant of the Star Trek series, this book might serve as a useful introduction, but for anybody who has seen the show, this book only contributes odd notes about the actors on the show, their personal backgrounds, and their thoughts on the series. This book would have been much better if the summaries of every episode had been put in the appendix or just left out.
