I have to say the one part I did not like about the book was how Decker and Anders pretended to help Justin and then deliberately told him that everything Holly disliked or feared was something she loved. I get that Justin teased them when they both were trying to win their life mate, but teasing was all he did and he did try to help them in the midst of training and befriended their life mates. What they did was cruel and seemed out of character. While Lucian too got payback, it wasn't harmful to Justin's attempts to win Holly. He simply forgot to mention that Justin's favorite part would not be in danger of being harmed over 100 times cause Holly being immortal voids out the don't mess with mortal relationships rule.
I have to say this one did not live up to my expectations. I've read all the books in the series & usually love anything Lynsay Sands writes. About A Vampire was just okay. I 've liked Justin, but this book didn't do him justice. I didn't see any reason why he should be with Holly other than "I can't read her and we have shared dreams so we are lifemates." That was repeated a bit too often. Couples in previous books got to build more of a relationship.
Oh and the ending! Oh my I predicted it right after Holly turned. It was too convenient and forced IMO.
I think, with this book, the series has gone from being a must buy to a borrow from the library for me.

Endlich hat Bricker sein Partnerin gefunden. Ich hätte mir für ihn eigentlich eine ganz andere Frauenart gewünscht. Für mich hätte er eine taffe Frau kriegen sollen, die ihm sein Casanova gehaben austreibt und ihn zappeln lässt. Ganz so ist es hier nicht gekommen, aber es hat mich trotzdem gut unterhalten. Aber ich muss halt sagen, dass es andere Paare in dieser Reihe gab, die mich mehr überzeugt und begeistert haben. Das Drumherum stimmte allerdings wieder. Es war mal eine ganz andere Zusammenkunft und neue Probleme. Vor allem aber hat mir gefallen, dass wieder jede Menge Nebencharaktere eine wichtige Rolle spielen, da die Familie Argeneau wieder ordentlich mitmischt, bei dem Zusammenkommen des Pärchens. Ich mag einfach die vielen witzigen Szenen, die durch das Einmischen der Verwandten und Freunden zu stande kommen. Auch mein Lieblingscharakter Lucian hatte wieder viele für ihn typischen Auftritte. Ich liebe ihn einfach total, weil er unglaublich unterhaltsam für mich ist.

I was excited to finally get to read Justin Bricker's story. I was a fun read and it fit Bricker's personality really well. The author once again managed to find a different twist for this story, so it was a good read.

Didn't care for this one. Characters were wooden and never developed. Story was told not shown. The whole idea just didn't sit right with me. In my religion contemplating and mentally imaging a sin is a sin also. Plus the solution was over simplistic and STUPID. Hope the next one is better.
I didn't enjoy this one as much as the others. The fact that the other immortals that decieved Bricker into thinking Holly liked the opposite things she did annoyed me. They didn't seem that mean in other books. Also, I kind of would have liked it better if Holly found out that her husband either didn't really care for her much or that he was cheating on her, rather than him also finding his life mate. It was too convenient/corny.
