A good collection of subversion sci-fi jokes and ideas with a severe lack of strong characterization or relationships. The first 50 pages are amazing and then it slowly loses steam. I honestly feel like Futurama took what this book did and improved on it. Far from bad though, I think it is one of the funniest books I’ve ever read; I just wish there was more.

Occasionally a bit too convoluted and science-y for me (a native fantasy reader) at times, but otherwise a funny and interesting science fiction novel. So pleased I finally got around to reading this!

wow a blast!! really witty but secretly very absurdist. i think with how dark the philosophy tends to be (no meaning so why try?) it can be defeating, so adams’ wit really makes it a fun read.
Its was a nice adventure and funny book but just wish wasnt all over place too lol
