I love this book. I can't even explain why, but it is one of the rare books that I want to read to everyone. Cute, funny, whimsical, and sweet.
Very sweet story greatly complimented by Matt Phelan's delicate drawings. Loved Marilyn's concern over finding and being found by her monster as well as her adorable way of devising plans to remedy the situation. Besides, who doesn't love a solution involving good walking shoes, a thermos of juice, and peanut butter and banana sandwiches!?
Everyone else has their monster but Marilyn. Lovely pictures and a great message that sometimes you have to stop waiting around for good things and go out and make them happen.
