They get no hotter than Killian! Although I’m not real fond of his crazy woman it could be a jealousy thing! Her not realizing how hot and amazing he is! He does tend to hide his good side.

This was really cute, but it was basically just Declan and Sloane’s story only also a little bit worse. Jules is very annoying only because she’s so hardheaded and shortsighted. We love a strong girl we love a girl who gives the male character a lot of lip, but we don’t love an emotionally stunted girl.

In the acknowledgements, J.T. Geissinger admits that she had no plans on even writing a story for the Killian. I'm very glad she decided to, however, it felt too similar to Beautifully Cruel. It was the exact same dynamic between the characters. One brutal, cold hearted man who has insta-love/lust feelings for a sassy woman who isn't scared of his reputation. It was so similar even the same very specific descriptive phrase "I'm sure I have sparkly red hearts for eyes" is used in the final chapter of both books. The exact wording is ever so slightly different, but that's an annoying bone I don't think I should have to pick.

Overall the story was more exciting than Beautifully Cruel. There was more action and even some real danger that the MMC was able to protect the FMC from. Can't deny a love of damsels in distress and knights in Armani Suits. Swoon.. I will be going back to read more by this author because I really enjoy her writing style. There is great description without it being too much. The banter between characters is spot on without coming off as fake, teen drama-y or exaggerated. Finally the spicey scenes are not cringey. They're the perfect balance between steamy hotness and tender loving moments.

Another JT Geissinger book that I love!!

i love everything in it, this book is just sooo entertaining and funny too

And I thought Liam was hot. Killian? 100/10

After Beautifully Cruel, I was dying to get my hands on Cruel Paradise and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. There is so much push and pull in this book that will blow you away and keep you on your toes. It sizzles but it is also heartbreaking. I loved how much Jules made Killian work for everything. There was an animalistic passion about these two but I love how she made him wait. How she played at his game too. There are a lot of moments that broke my heart for these two. Because of being so guarded over the past.
SOOO much happens in this book that honestly, I could not put it down. I really enjoyed the fact it was a real slow burn that will have you spinning with that underlying sizzle that these two have. The concept behind it made me giggle at times as well with everything Jules was up to with her partners in crime. Honestly could not get enough of these two.
