So I actually enjoyed this book a lot more than the first book!
I found the plot a little more interesting, but what I liked the most is I really felt like I could feel the main characters falling in love the more they got to know each other. There was obvious instant attraction, and Killian definitely fell first, but I feel like he got a jump start with finding out all the background information on Juliet. But I feel like as a couple there was a longer "courting" period, and with Juliet fighting it for so long, they really talked a lot. I loved Juliet's character. She had personality, took no shit, gave Killian all the shit back and really made him work for it which I loved.
This book had a little more slow burn to it as Juliet was fighting her feelings for as long as she could. But the tension was delicious and I kept screaming at Juliet just to give in already.
I loved Juliet's friends. And seriously almost wish we got another book about their adventures in Paris and what their new job is gonna be! I also loved seeing Tru and Liam again. I love the little family they're building and see the men happy.
Now I'm going to jump backing into the queens and monsters series and I'm hoping from how book two in that series ending, we're gonna see a reprise of a character who is suppose to be dead

I really enjoy the banter that Geissinger brings to her novels. There are so many times I laugh out loud, it's almost ridiculous. I just love sassy, witty characters.
Beyond that, although I liked this book, I didn't like it as much as the first. Everything happened really fast--the insta-lust. And honestly, there wasn't as much of a storyline. It was mostly just back and forth, debating if they could be together, until they finally were.

2.5 stars for 75% of the book it is daddy issues & a FMC written like a petulant child.
Another awesome read by the very best author Ms. Geissinger. I truly enjoyed Killian's book, especially after what happened in the in Dangerous Desires with Eva, I was not a fan. However, he did redeem himself, so it was no surprise at all that Killian turned out to be about as amazing as he could be. I have to admit that the heroine in this story, Julie or Jules, was it for me. She was brave, courageous, snarky, and had me rolling in stitches because she was so damn funny. She and her merry band of thieves Fin and Max were the best part! Filled with action, hot lovemaking and an emotional rollercoaster are why Ms. Geissinger's books are such a success. She is able to capture and reel you in, that you feel every nuance of everything that is happening. I just loved it! 5 AMAZING STUPENDOUS, FANTASTIC, TERRIFIC, UNICORN PUPPY, AND NEWTON'S LAW OF GRAVITY STARS!!!!!
P.S. Is there possibly going to be a book about Max and Declan, maybe? I found her to be very enlightening.

I’m sorry, I love you J.T., but I hate the miscommunication trope.
