Killian made me swoon. He might not have been as distant and cold as liam but I felt his connection with Juliet to be more genuine than what we saw with Liam and Tru. I saw the whole misunderstanding towards the 80% of the book coming a mile away but it still made me feel for Juliet.

This one just did not live up to the first one, in my humble opinion. I enjoyed Killian more in book one, in the limited amount of him we saw. As for Jules... she took the "snark" a bit TOO far. It seemed just way too over the top for me, and if she really were that kind of person, I'd think Killian was a complete waste of a man to stick around...
Just an even 3 stars for me here.

It is a toss-up on whether I love Killian or Liam more. If I was under duress, I would have to lean more towards Killian because this man was delicious. I loved the first book for different reasons than this one. Yet, they both had the same commonalities of a fantastic storyline with characters that truly came alive.
Killian might be the dreamiest, swoon-worthy hero that this author has written. He was smooth and charming. I loved the Shakespeare quotes and the humor that was sprinkled throughout the story. There were glimpses of Liam and Tru in this book which also lent for some humorous moments. Juliet's friends were a hoot and the banter between the characters also enhanced the story.
There were suspense and intrigue sprinkled throughout but to me, the best part was watching these two characters try and fight their feelings for each other. They needed to trust but that is easier said than done. The steamy moments when they did happen were FIRE> Good Lord, I needed a cold shower and a chance for my kindle to cool down. However, the steamy parts did not overshadow the story and I loved that. I loved the super sleuth things that Killian did to keep track of his Juliet too. It made it interesting to see how he went about always knowing everything about her.
Definitely adding this book as another top favorite of 2020.

I never thought I would rate JT Geissinger's book so low, but this one was hard for me to read. Mainly because it was kind of boring. I usually reach for this author when I want to read a funny and sometimes ridiculous stories as I always get a good laugh reading them. Unfortunately, even though I had fun reading it at times, I almost forced myself to finish it.
While I liked the characters and the fact that the heroine had some backbone, the plot didn't sucked me in at all. Killian had some good and swoon worthy moments though. This man just knew what to say.
Their banter was entertaining too.
There were moments that I laughed at the lines in this book, because I didn't know if it was written seriously, or to make the reader laugh. The example.
Animal grunts? Was he barking or what?
I regret to say that I liked the first book more. At least a year ago. I don't know if I would like this book now. However, that doesn't change the fact that I will continue to read this author's books. Some of them are amazing.

"He says softly, “It’s not inexplicable. I like you the way Newton liked gravity.”
“I don’t know what you mean.” “Once he found it, everything else in the universe made sense.”
Their banter was entertaining too.
“If you try to unzip your pants right now, mister, I’ll punch you in the throat.”
His voice turns husky. “God, you’re sexy when you’re threatening me. I like it even more than when you’re stealing things I own.”

"Between my legs, Killian makes animal grunts of approval."
