— Juliet is a black cat, very strong willed & sassy af. Killian is intelligent, a little morally grey, but also has a slight golden retriever vibe. i loved both of their characters!
— i feel as though it started off really fast with high expectations, slowed way down at the middle, then randomly picked back up at the 85% mark & the ending felt rushed. i think i needed more time with Killian and Juliet together at the end & more action throughout the middle to really root for them!

eh this book was okay! i liked the characters better than in book 1, but it was a little bit too miscommunication-y for me and we spent too long unhappy. the MC was equal parts funny and insufferable which was hard to keep up with

Not as good as the first one. Feisty fmc (I didn’t like her that much tbh but that’s personal preference and I was in love with Tru) but the banter is still awesome

i loved the first book and remember starting this book a year ago but i don’t remember why i stopped reading like it’s so good and funny at the beginning. in the middle i started to get bored bc the back and forth was getting a little too repetitive but the ending ugh i just love the way the author wraps up the book and i love the main couple even tho they both have their flaws them together just makes me happy even tho they also fuck a lot that i’m like damn do you guys even talk to each other but they do it’s just skimmed over a bit. i didn’t like how the main guy was tryna rush the main girl into this relationship bc y’all barely met and he’s like tell me you’re mine tell me you trust me like god damn take a girl out to dinner a few more times before you pull that shit fr. also he’s a lil too controlling for my liking but he’s also the type of toxic that i excuse bc he’s funny and him and the main girl have great banter w each other ugh i just love their chemistry and the way they bounce off on each other. the main girl annoyed me w how she kept on jumping to conclusions and all that like damn girl this man laid all his cards on the table and you’re like hmm he’s lying he has to be like i get she got daddy issues that made her this way but damn girl go see a therapist and work on them and maybe you’ll be able to spot what’s healthy in a relationship and what’s not. also she’s such a hypocrite bc she says her crimes are fine bc she gives back while the main guy is a gangster bc of what she sees on the news about him but there’s this secret shit about him being undercover mafia working for the government blah blah it’s a lot i’m not gonna bother explaining but i’m like damn girl maybe do a little self reflection. even tho i just trashed on these characters i love them like they’re just so silly goofy and that’s ok they make mistakes and i can excuse if bc they’re just such funzies characters to read about and i love the side characters as well idk if the author wrote books for the main girl’s friends but she should if she hasn’t and then seeing the couple from the last book along w some other characters ugh i love when series intertwine like that it’s so fun. and also reading about declan before his book omg he’s always been such a fun character i wish i read all of the interconnected series in order but it’s too late but idc still loved this world the author created. i will accept no slander against this book like i knew this isn’t a healthy relationship but can a girl just read her toxic mafia romance in peace i give this a 8.5/10 bc the middle was boring me but the rest saur good.
