Killian Black & Juliet -

This book was a bit repetitive when compared to the first book. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed it.

you…inexplicably…like me.” He reaches out and gently brushes his knuckles over my cheek. His gaze follows the path of his touch. He says softly, “It’s not inexplicable. I like you the way Newton liked gravity.” “I don’t know what you mean.” “Once he found it, everything else in the universe made sense.”

“Life is short. You don’t get a do-over. Kiss who you need to kiss, love who you need to love, tell anyone who disrespects you to go fuck themselves. Let your heart lead you where it wants to. Don’t ever make a decision based on fear. In fact, if it scares you, that’s the thing you should run fastest toward, because that’s where real life is. In the scary parts. In the messy parts. In the parts that aren’t so pretty. Dive in and take a swim in all the pain and beauty that life has to offer, so that at the end of it, you don’t have any regrets. “We only come this way once. Our obligation for receiving the miraculous gift of life is to truly, fully live it.”

Omg. THIS. BOOK. Just when I think Ms. Geissinger can't get any better, she writes Killian's story. Be still my heart. I love him. He's mine and the only person I'll share him with is Juliet. This man who quotes Shakespeare, yet can kill a man dead without so much as a blink. I highly recommend you start with his brother's book Beautifully Cruel or you'll be as confused as Juliet, our heroine, was throughout. As usual the banter, humor, and amazing side characters are spot on. Brava to Ms Geissinger and this book. If you love a dangerous, mysterious, and wholly romantic hero and a heroine with lots of sass and fights her feelings as long as she can with loads of chemistry and sizzle then I highly recommend you grab this book!

This book didn’t do killian justice in my opinion and the romance was lacking.

Easy read. 3/5. Liked both books but the insta love of Killian and demanding her to love him back instantly just off kiltered the whole book. However then she started to realize his secrets it became a great read. Prefer Liams book over this book tho.

yes yes yes!!

Killian and Juliet are combustible

This sequel was even better than the first book. I felt like both main characters had a little more substance to them, and the plot was a little more developed as well. I liked that Jules wasn’t clueless and tried to figure Killian out from the start, trying to resist him and not throw away all of her principles. I liked that Killian was the one who fell head over heels first and wanted to commit fully, and that both had secrets they were hiding from one another. This was a very satisfying mafia romance read!

Felt a bit like a repetition of the first book… but pales in comparison
