I knew from book 1 that I would love Killian Black and I am happy to say I was not disappointed at all.
I feel like he had such a well rounded personality, considering who he is and what he does. Yes, he's the alpha male. But he also has a soft side that he doesn't hide from the fmc Juliet at all. I also loved his amusement at dangerous situations. (For example, the way he found all of Diego's assassination attempts humorous).
The fmc Jules or Juliet (she's referred to by both names in this book) is also a great character. Her and her friends have a peculiar....side job, of sorts. One that isn't always done well. Her banter with Killian and her friends is hilarious.
My only complaint about this book is that I would have liked more from Killian's point of view but even so, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Okayyy some of the best banter I’ve read in a long time! Love love love
We have an Italian mafia princess turned Robin Hood who steals from the head of the Irish mafia. Needless to say, he immediately wants her when he finds out she stole from him.
First of all, I couldn't understand why Killian was attracted to Jules. She wasn't the only one who stole from him. He could have easily fallen for one of her two friends. Second of all, I just couldn't connect with either Killian or Jules. I didn't like either of them. They didn't intrigue me nor did I feel any chemistry.
The first book in this series had a good balance of tension, angst, darkness, and comedy. This one feels like a non-stop comedy. And while it's fun to read a mafia romcom, I was expecting the tone to be similar to book 1.
On top of the lackluster chemistry, Killian and Jules kept going around in circles in what felt like a dramatic soap opera. It was annoying and repetitive and it made me lose complete interest in this couple. The big revelation was also done through a letter, which could have been impactful, but we don't even get to read the letter!
Overall, brilliant set up, but terrible characters and execution.

What a fun book. I’m happy Killian has his story and that everything worked out exactly how it should. Juliet was a little annoying with how much she refused to admit her feelings but I guess that just goes with “the lady doth protest too much”.
This book was EVERYTHING. I loved the first book and I loved this book equally. They both just consumed me. If you were to ask what I love about a book, I'm just going to point you to this series.
I'm not sure I have felt equally as strong about two books in the same series before. The author brought us twin brothers with their own book, gave them different personalities, different woman, different storylines, and both are equally brilliant.
The intensity, the heat, the sparks arcing between Killian and Juliet was completely enthralling. Their attraction to each other is everything I'm looking for in my reads. Some will see this as an instant love story and I guess you could say that, but I felt like it was so much more.
I'm already gushing shamelessly so I might as well keep it up and say they felt like two souls who recognized each other immediately. What followed was a mating dance like no other. .
Killian started out as a side character in the Dangerous Beauty series. He was so charismatic and had such a big presence that me and many other readers were begging the author to give him his own book. He did not disappoint. He's that anti-hero you crave.
Juliet was a sassy, funny and an honorable mafia princess. She was contradictory in all the right ways. I adored her sass. I adored her friendship with her best friends and she was the perfect fit for Killian. Their back and forth was wildly entertaining and had me smiling so much.
I want to say you need to rush out and read this book ASAP, but...you really need to read book 1 first if you haven't already. You will understand Killian position so much more if you start with Liam's book. If you have already read book one, then you are already anxiously waiting for this one. You will not be disappointed.
