i had a hard time getting through this book for some reasons but i really enjoyed it overall. i love love connor and rose but i feel like there’s something missing in their book and it bothers me sm bc i genuinely LOVE their characters and relationships so much :( it was still good and rose is such an amazing mom and sister i cannot get past what she said to daisy…crying!

How someone can be so alive by words—it makes me come alive with her.

first and foremost: is this book even real ? i can't believe i've been blessed with this book i had no idea what have i done to deserve this but i'll take it.

i feel like a part of me died when i've reached the end of this page i can't believe there won't be any more books in this spinoff series? i've looked forward to this book ever since i finished [b:Kiss the Sky|20658510|Kiss the Sky (Calloway Sisters, #1; Addicted, #2.1)|Krista Ritchie|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1393090096s/20658510.jpg|25803531] i can't believe i absorbed this that quick.

i've cried and laughed and yelled in frustration so many times, the last time i've cried this much (granted, it was in tears of frustration) was [b:The Winner's Crime|20443207|The Winner's Crime (The Winner's Trilogy, #2)|Marie Rutkoski|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1411741455s/20443207.jpg|31174003] and i had to lie down to cry my eyes out at one point. seeing connor and rose coming crumble under the blinding lights called the fucking media crushed my soul and knowing at least they will have each other to get through this shitstorm, that's the only thing i find solace in through it all.

to put it out there: i love connor cobalt, i know i'm ruined the minute he opened his mouth way back in the first book in this series, and along with rose (when rose called him because lily hung up on her to talk to him) i just knew that i was done for. that they would consume my life and leave me in pieces. i love their dynamics, i love how well they could read each other through their glances and body language, i love how protective and defensive they are of each other. i especially love seeing them as parents, that's another part in this book that had me in tears. i can't wait to see jane all grown up and see the power couple building their empire and living their dreams.

i enjoy knowing their past life: back when they'd only catch each other in competitions and whatnot, and the fact that rose fascinates connor back when they were fifteen got me craving for more bits and pieces of their past lives. i bet connor knew he was doomed when rose showed up and he challenged her for the trivia, and now they're married and have a daughter and am expecting more makes me want to burst into tears. look at how far they have come. just...look.
