Look, it’s set in Michigan, and the main character is a librarian. It’s a book for me. The absurd premise aside (which I tend to give romcoms a pass for anyway), the book is charming, emotionally raw and realistic, and it made me chuckle a lot. What a delightful read.

my favorite romance i’ve read and the one I read the fastest (only counting days i read this was like a four day read). i really appreciate emily henry’s writing style (this is my first time reading one of her works) and how the story doesn’t just navigate the central romance but development of female friendships and familial relationships as well. enjoyed her writing so much I even read the acknowledgments. will def be reading more of hers
