Enjoyed how Jericho Brown reveals more about himself and the world with each poem in this collection. I interpret these poems to be about life and death, nature and nurture, harm and survival.

Bullet Points was a standout poem that will stay with me.

I don't feel qualified to review this book of poetry. I only know that these words laid profoundly across my heart every time I read them. Some poems I read 4 or 5 times in a row, or walked away from only to come back and read again. Honest, sharp, tender, and filled with simmering anger and grief. I loved it all.
