Such a brutal series, but I’m glad I re-read it! I have no fucking clue how this was marketed to young adults when it’s full of cannibalism and gore and torture buuut it was! So it was a fun nostalgic trip to re-read these as an adult. What a journey.

Well, it’s been quite a ride!
The thing with series like this, is what causes the dome to go up, and what makes it then come down. Finally, we get to understand that, and it works. It really works.
I loved that so many of the big characters died. I loved how utterly evil Gaia was. The sacrifices made. The whole thing.
Yes it’s gory, and uncomfortable and just plain nasty at times. But that’s what life would be like, if this happened.
I especially liked the final chapters though, something that often gets left out. What comes next. What can possibly work for a group of teens when they’re back with others after so long? Well, that’s covered, and it’s great.
I loved it.

I'm happy that I finally completed this series. I was happy with this conclusion overall, but was disappointed that the climactic event we've been waiting for for 5 books was so anti-climactic.

En overraskende tilfredsstillende slutning på en serie, der måske trak liiiige lovlig i langdrag.

After an obsession with the first five books, the conclusion has arrived! And i promise you, it doesn't disappoint! Its everything you want in a finale!
With Gaia powerful as ever! Will the Kids survive?
It's not just the kids with superpowers that can affect the course of the FAYZ.
Read Light and love it! This series is a must! One of the best out there!
I was upset when this series ended because the characters and the storyline are so good!
Start reading Gone! You will love it! All the way up to Light.

Thank you Michael grant for a truly amazing series!

Well, it's done.

I rarely stick with series, but this is totally one of the good ones.

Occasionally the writing is clunky, but these characters and this world are amazing. I felt good about the resolutions to all the characters and I'm actually glad things extended as long as they did.

True to the series, there are some really haunting, awful, graphic images that may get under sensitive skins.

This series is killer, and totally worth the trip.

Climactic conclusion that offered no reprieve until the very last page.

I can't believe it's truly over.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I perversely look forward to the brand of torture Michael have in store for these kids and now...it's like I don't know what to do with myself. I feel like this metric ton of weight have been lifted off my chest; it's like I can finally breathe for the first time in a long time. And yet, I can't because I know that if I show a semblance of happiness, I'm betraying a friend or something. But knowing that Sam and Astrid and the rest will finally eat, gorge themselves even, shower with soap and shave and wear clothes that aren't tattered or splattered with blood...there's just so many reasons to celebrate.

I keep thinking to myself, how do you even move on from the nightmare that you've known was your life to the normalcy of being a kid again? No more monsters, no more hunger, no more fear. If Sam was lying in clean sheets on a soft bed, would the nightmare begin again as soon as he closes his eyes? Would he take it all in strides because he knew he'd wake up from it anyway as opposed to the reality he once knew? This series ended not in hushed tones or not even in a bang. It was a nuclear explosion of epic...yeah.

At the end of the book, I was a little stunned and it took me forever to actually sort out how I should feel. Michael Grant's sick, sick mind will take you on a dark, inconceivable journey of what will happen if kids were left to fend for themselves and kids with superpowers rule the world, not to mention they had to contend with the monster that was the gaiaphage.

This book was relentless in its pursuit to terrify, shock, and make you wish you never had that last bite of your lunch because your stomach will roil. I was glad that this series ended but at the same time, I'm feeling bereft. Grant's FAYZ is not for the weak of stomach least of all for someone like me, who continually spends the first night of her vacations away from her kids worrying and thinking about them.

Let me say this: the conclusion is everything I'd expected and hoped for but not at all how I envisioned it. The deaths, the blood, the gore...it was too much and too little and most of the time, I felt like an epileptic on a constant watch for signs of episodes.

Simply put, this book - this series, fucking rocks.

Before reading this book, I was planning on taking notes so I could write a long and detailed review about what I liked and didn't like about it.

Unfortunately, once I started reading, I was so absorbed in the story that I forgot to take any notes at all.

This book is an amazing end to a great series.
Spoiler Gaia was terrifying until the very end, the death toll in this book is extremely high and main characters aren't spared in the slightest. Despite this, the end is still hopeful. Probably the best ending this series could have had. Amazing work.

This is by far probably my favourite in the Gone Series. But then again, I would say that whenever a new 'Gone' book was release.
But this was the final in the series and I am so sad to be saying goodbye to these characters!!
It was like I grew up with them and I felt so lost when this book finished.
SPOILER ALERT

I was in so much shock when Briana died...
I wasn't expecting that at all!!!
And Caine!!!!
I'd rather Astrid than Briana to be honest even though Astrid's awesome but that's the breeeeze!!
Anyways go and read it!!
It's awesome :P
