Here are the lyrics to "Brave Sir Robin" by Monty Python. They pretty much sum up the last few books in the hyper-violent "Gone" series.
"Bravely bold Sir Robin
Rode forth from Camelot.
He was not afraid to die,
Oh brave Sir Robin.
He was not at all afraid
To be killed in nasty ways.
Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin.
He was not in the least bit scared
To be mashed into a pulp.
Or to have his eyes gouged out,
And his elbows broken.
To have his kneecaps split
And his body burned away,
And his limbs all hacked and mangled
Brave Sir Robin.
His head smashed in
And his heart cut out
And his liver removed
And his bowels unplugged
And his nostrils raped
And his bottom burnt off
And his pen--"

Oh brave Sir Robin.

Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin.

Wahhhh it's all over! What do I do now?
I cried and laughed and cringed. Hard to write about without giving anything away really - but if you have read 5 books so far - you are going to want to read the 6th.

Michael Grant just produced the greatest and most satisfying ending to any book series I have ever read. The Gone series are definitely my favorite books because they are so well-characterized. This book stirred up more emotions in me than I ever thought a book could. I am sad to see the end of the FAYZ, but I could not have asked for a better finale or a more satisfying conclusion to the lives of the characters.
