“Winners quit all the time. They just quit the right stuff at the right time.”
____________
This small book was full of wisdom and right questions. It ultimately was asking when is the right time to quit and when is the right time to push through?
So there is The Dip, which is “the long slog between starting and mastery”. And there is the Cul-De-Sac (french for “dead end”), which is “a situation where you work and work and nothing much changes.”
————
I just want to say that not everyone wants to be the “best” in their field for different reasons, they might want to concentrate on their family or they have a hobby that they are passionate about, or just they want to pay their bills, there is nothing bad about that, but for people who are more career oriented, I think this book will spark that motivation you need. Really, not everyone is going to reach excellency or have this mind-blowing career or business, that’s just not realistic.
————
Strategic quitting is so important and if you are smart and brave enough you’ll know when it is the right time to quit and when not.
If you are in the Dip, you will realize that it will just take time to reach the real excellency, you’ll push it through even if you are facing various obstacles.
Definitely highly recommending!

This book is too fast for me to completely understand. It talks about quitting then not quitting keeping balance. I think people who are looking for answers are just more confused after reading this book. overall, nice editing and short stories, I mean really short stories.

At some point in my life I imagine I'll be in the exact position to read this book, and will give it 5 stars.

2 days later edit i did my exit interview for my job today and my boss basically gave me the same advice that's in this book - decide under what circumstances you will quit ahead of time, and quit then.
