Tropes/Themes:
-MF apocalyptic fantasy romance
-Enemies to lovers (heroine kills the hero…or at least tries to)
-Captor/captive (hero takes heroine captive after her failed assassination attempt)
-Caretaking (heroine having to nurse the hero back to health)
-Singular POV (heroine)
This just wasn’t the book for me, but the cover is EVERYTHING. This was just super cringey, felt a little too Stockholm Syndrome-y for my liking, and I couldn’t figure out why or how they ended up together in the end.
I’ll probably continue on with the series because of the covers…honesty’s the best policy.
TWs for sickness, plague, death (graphic)
