So I really enjoyed some aspects of this book. The writing style was interesting. The mood and tone of the book was really nice. It wasn't scary, but it did have some tension and suspense. But I really wish the ending went in a different direction. Part of me thought that was interesting, but the other part of me felt like it was problematic and simply could have been something better.

I just—

But she—

And the—

And what about the calls—

Oh wow. I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the complexity of this novel. It's so unsettling and so eerie, and impossible to put down. There are so many unanswered questions, yet I don't feel the story is unfinished. 4.5 stars.

This was definitely a weird, creepy read. Once you start, you are endlessly questioning what's going on which makes it a quick page-turner. I really liked the atmosphere created as well.

I will admit though, either this is on my end or a common thing no one cares to admit, but I had to google what the ending was and what happened because I was confused. Once I read online what happened, it made sense, but I wish I could've picked it up on my own. Maybe it's just me. That is probably why this book fell as a 3/3.5 at the end.
