Her writing definitely improves over time. This was too cheesy and shallow and physical. I appreciate the attention to emotional abuse; Abby’s stories always touch on real difficulties that are part of a person’s life and relationships. But Daniel felt like he only existed for Alexis.

Predictable and the writing was a bit “explainy” at times but was still cute and the medicine was surprisingly accurate

Was rooting for Daniel and Alexis love story early on.

What didn’t help was reading these books out of order so knowing the end not great on my part.

But I will say still got emotional and cried and still enjoyed it like a normal Abby Jimenez book.

One thing that kept annoying me was Alexis lack of self worth, lack of communication damn near down to the final chapters. I don’t think Bri’s pep speech was any different then the previous speeches she received nor Daniel’s begging.

My literal only downfall for this one.
