I can’t begin to count how many times this book made me laugh. It’s the most original “rich city girl and small town stud fall in love” trope I’ve ever read. I loved it. All the way through.

I just…can’t with the “rich, successful woman meets poor, but handsome man and learns class consciousness” thing. I almost DNR’d this several times, but ultimately decided to see it through.

That aside, I’m realizing I just don’t vibe with Abby’s writing as it strikes me as exceptionally predictable and hallmark-y, and not even in a fun way. The characters fall flat and the story goes exactly where you assume it will.
