Awesome. Perfect ending to a great series.

The final issue of this volume is the redeeming factor to this entire run. And Azzarello finally embraces the heart and essence of wonder woman.

With shaky start and fighting yet another antagonist to fend off, the story takes a surprising twist where the God, War, dies. Its a transforming moment for the series as well as Wonder Woman as a character where she becomes a true warrior. And being a warrior comes with the price of loss and her new journey begins with losing a brother.

A fitting end to the most subtle and gentle character who is personification of violence.

Not a perfect arc, but that was a pretty great conclusion to this story - surprisingly touching, too. I can't wait to see what it means for Diana, notorious for her stance on truth and peace, does now that she's the official God of War. It should be very fun to read, at the very least!

Also, this is kind of unrelated, but the time DC takes to publish their trades is just plain /ridiculous/ especially when compared to other companies. Their holding back just makes it downright impossible for someone who prefers to read trades instead of floppies to remain relatively unspoiled. Good thing I actually read this title on a monthly basis.
