I really did not get the hype around this book. I really struggled to get interested in the story. i didn't mind the characters but the only reason I gave this a 3/5 was because Orka was fun to follow. I DNF'd this at around 150 pages in and then decided to try the audiobook and push through. Not sure I'll be read the other two.

Listened to the audiobook. If I have to listen to them refer to their "thought-cage" one more time instead of just saying brain/head, I'll scream.

Fucking hated the laughs of the characters in the audiobook (although I’ll admit maybe listening to them at 2x speed didnt help)
