So sad to see this series has come to an end. But also looking forward to LLV's next series with Schultz's story to start. I don't know if it's just me, but I read this one so fast. Croft and Carmichael's story sucked me in right away.

Carmichael has had a thing for Croft for a while. But because Croft was an idiot, their first date didn't happen. And Carmichael is now hating on him and he knows he couldn't let her go without giving them a chance. But things hit the fan real fast and they found themselves in each other's protection.

Their chemistry is off the charts. Even with all the suspense, there are lots of funny moments. Especially the epilogue! Loved that.

If you are looking for a steamy, funny, and action packed book look no further! I loved this book! This one sucked me in right away! I read it in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down! I loved Croft and Carmichael so much! They had amazing chemistry! There was no long drawn out unnecessary drama. There was never a dull moment! I would absolutely recommend this book!

Received a arc for a honest review.

I haven't read the previous books in the series... that was because the blurbs didn't appeal to me, and I have come to realise that I have a peculiar relationship with LLV books. I started this one by accident...

I didn't 'get' the characters. I really didn't get the... um... plot? I really didn't like the weird sexual reference to his friend's pregnant wife... just too odd and distasteful.

So, yeah... I now know why I haven't bothered with the previous two.

I'm bummed that Quit Bein' Ugly is the last book in the Southern Gentleman series because I have LOVED this series. But, like the previous 2 books in this series, this was a great read!

First, let me say that if I were Carmichael, I would have said something or asked about the other women without waiting 6 months. Seriously! Maybe its because I'm getting old and I can no longer tolerate the miscommunication angle. Either way, I wanted to knock their heads together! And how could he NOT get it?! Young idiots!

Now, once they get past this (freaking MONTHS later), this is a classic LLV couple-they compliment each other and they both love hard. One thing I always love about LLV books is that the couple, once established, is strong! Croft was kind of clueless at times, which was both endearing and aggravating. Carmichael is strong, driven, and smart, which is always appreciated in a heroine.

If you like a slower burn, brother's best friend romance with some laughs and plenty of steam, Quit Bein' Ugly is a great pick. While you don't have to read the previous 2 books, I highly recommend both!

This is a cute story about two people that have been crushing on each other for some time now. There was a little mystery, but it didn't overwhelm the story of Croft and Carmichael getting together. Overall, the story is good but quick. I did like Croft and Carmichael. The quickness of the story felt like we were entering the story already half done.
