How can a doctor be so freaking dumb? Preeti has got to be one of the worst protagonists of all-time. The ending of this book was literal trash.

Where do I begin with this one? Preeti and Daniel's second chance was very emotional and challenging but I'm glad they got their happy ending. Honestly though maybe because I've seen Bollywood movies my whole life but the aunties still got on my nerves lol. I hate the miscommunication trope. I wish Daniel and Preeti just talked. That's what irritated me the most because they basically annoyed me for most of the book. The book just seemed a bit all over the place at times but at the same time, there were moments where I thought this was a five star book. With all that being said, I loved the representation throughout this and it was like a palette cleanser from the first book. Despite everything it was still a good book and I would recommend.
Moderate: Mental illness, Miscarriage, Misogyny, Panic attacks/disorders, Racism, Toxic relationship, Medical trauma
I really really enjoyed this book. I loved the two cultures coming together and I loved that the author addressed the issues both cultures faced. Preeti’s anxiety hit close for me and I’m happy the author showed all the anxiety that family’s go through especially by societal expectations in immigrant communities. Oh I loved Daniel’s support for Preeti and always being there for her, it was really such a sweet book.

This second book in the series was not as good as the first one and I wasn't as invested in the characters. It felt like it really dragged along.
Loved reading another Sajni Pate original! It had so many good tropes in it, from second chance love to roommates. It was relatable and just as good as the first book in this series- in an entirely different way.
