This is basically extremely sincerely what I'd want from a eldritch horror story. I do wish there were more Black characters and Characters of Color though. Or does the eldritch gods only target white people? Idk...

The mythology is pretty interesting and thankfully bare bones. If it went on excessively I think it'd cheapen it. I give credit to the author for knowing when to stop in an eldritch horror story. Um I loved this. cant wait to read the rest of her works omg. Piper you bad mother somethinger, you've done it again!!

The prose is fantastic. Purple as eldritch genre needs to be, but not to the point of escaping up its own ass about it. The descriptions of the monsters was chefs kiss, very creepy and dreadful.
