Creepier than I remembered! Also on a bit easier of a reading level than I remembered.
This was solid, I think I enjoyed it more as a kid because I physically read it and could relate more to the students. But I really loved Mrs. Jeepers; I really don’t blame her for being so annoyed with the students, especially Howie, for what they were trying to pull.
OMG! I remember these books from my childhood! This series was everything.
I forgot about this series until I saw a few copies at work. Oh my gosh, I loved the Bailey School kids so much when I was younger.
I loved this series as a kid and it’s fun to go back as an adult an experience it again. Tbh I’d probably also considered a strange adult if I lived in Bailey city.

Just what is it about kids’ books about weird teachers, anyway? Though it seems they come by the boatload, Vampires Don’t Wear Polka Dots is a cool take on the creature-teacher subgenre for kids.
When the new teacher, Mrs. Jeepers, lands in the third grade at Bailey School, the kids begin to wonder how they’ll survive the year. A great mix of chilling humour makes Vampires Don’t Wear Polka Dots (and the rest of the Bailey School Kids series, too!) a wonderful pick for young readers this season and for the upcoming Halloween Holiday!
