Little Girl Missing by JG Roberts is the first book in what I hope will be a great new detective series featuring DCI Rachel Hart. It is a very quick read that had me hooked from the start right til the very end. Lately I have been picking the culprits in these types of books but this one had me stumped - which is always a good thing. I look forward to reading more books in this series and learning about DCI Rachel Hart's past. We get a few clues in this book but there is obviously a story to tell there.
5 year old Cassie is tucked into bed by her mother one evening and the next morning she is nowhere to be scene. Her mother Naomi is separated from her husband Charlie and has been struggling with sleep since she kicked him out and had taken a herbal sleeping tablet so heard nothing. Everybody is a suspect with Rachel and her team called in to find the little girl. There are twists that you will not see coming and it is a fast paced read you won't want to put down.
