This book was chilling. But also very very engaging and well paced.

I did feel like some of the abortion politics were oversimplified and a little unrealistic. But once I just accepted the concept, the ride it took me on was well worth it.

Truly one of the most inventive and thought provoking dystopians I’ve read in a while. Like probably everyone should read.

One of my favourite books ever. It has such a unique premise (although a little simplistic at times, but you have to accept that for it is a young YA book) which is executed so well. The characters are likeable and it has great worldbuilding and character development.

When I started reading this book I thought, "Oh great, it's only the beginning of the book, and it's already being rushed." But as I kept reading, I realized it was the perfect way to start an amazing story! It's defiantly on my "Top Ten" list. I couldn't put it down. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. It challenges readers about life - not just where it begins, and where it ends, but what it really means to be alive. I would recommend this book for ages 11 and up.

while i did enjoy the story i had a hard time getting past the gruesome subject matter at times. interesting character development and some unexpected plot twists made it an enjoyable read.
