A real page turner. I just wanted to keep reading. The characters felt realistic and the plot was good. I'm looking forward to read more books by this author.

I enjoyed the mystery itself, but I couldn't get over the odd characterization and depictions of BIPOC characters. Obviously I'm not BIPOC myself, but it all felt insensitive and uncomfortable to me.

Story: 2/5
Audiobook: 5/5 (narrated by Cady McClain & Jon Lindstrom)
