I didn’t care for the ny stereotyping corporate lawyer life that was glorified, also just so much name dropping of labels and stuff that I just don’t care about and took me out of the story. But it was a nice story of friendship that made me tear up at times.
Honestly destoryed. That's how I'm feeling after this. It was SOOOOOO good and well written and beautiful, but I try not to read sad books and this one took me by surprise. TBH I thought the surprise was that the two women were to find out they were lesbians and in love....that's not what happened.
While it seems many people didn't like the twists and turns, I was totally captivated. Through the whole story I found myself curious about what would come next. I love the descriptions of places and weather and fashion that are used, it was really beautifully done.
I needed a content warning for this one. I was not ready for this. I was not ready. I am heartbroken. I don't know the last time I wept like this (big ugly tears. Think: maybe don't read if you don't live alone and hate crying, idk). Anyways this story was great and soul crushing and im giving it 5 stars even though I'm thoroughly upset.
(I maybe should have waited to write this and not done it right after I read the book in one sitting,but here we're are. Seriously, I've been weeping for the last several hours).
