I loved this book, Sidra and Pepper are both such cool loveable characters and I had a great time getting to know them. Baby Jane made me so sad, and I definitely cried reading some of her bits, and Sidra's journey of discovery and her struggle to understand who she was and what her place in the world is was so emotional and relatable too. I love Tak and Blue too. Basically it was a great book about friendship, love, connection, and what it means to be a person. Highly recommend.

This book used sci-fi tropes to portray mental health issues in a way that seemed relatable. Most of the book was pretty serious, but the topics never became overwhelming.

An absolutely amazing book. Highly engaging characters, rich environments, and insightful interactions. Deeply touching story of liberation, found family, and self-determining ones purpose in life based on what you want for yourself. Some of the best representation of gender spectrum in a fiction book that I've ever read.

This story was very different than the first part of the series. There was more focus on two main characters rather than an entire crew. Although the story felt less special/unique than the first book to me, I did enjoy reading it a lot.

I enjoyed the short chapters, it made the book a real page turner. It was a very heartwarming story about purpose and hope with plenty of frustration in between. I liked how the book ended as well. To me the highlight of the book was the chapter when they're in a ship with Tak. It made me "wow" out loud.
