A quick fun holiday romance of two former friends who end up working together temporarily during the season on a tree farm.
While a kiss in high school led to Caleb kissing Blake then panicking and ghosting Blake for the rest of their high school grade.
Now finding themselves working together many years later they realize there is a lot of unresolved feelings. Caleb is down on his luck after taking care of a sick father, finally paying off the medical bills and living in a van.
Blake is a writer and former hockey player can't believe Caleb is back in his life. A snowstorm leaves them both stranded and taking cover in Caleb's van. The closeness leads them to reveal their truths and work on some of the hurt of the past. Wondering if they just might have a future.
While this was a very short novella I loved these two and them finding their HEA and giving it a second chance.

I was surprised by how much I liked this. It was just the right length, short while still not being too rushed or lazy. Caleb and Blake hooked up in high school, which didn't end well, and they don't meet again until years later when they're forced to work together at a Christmas tree farm. So there's pining, guilt, and also some delightful winter clichés like snowball fights and being snowed in. There's also a cute overprotective dog :)

LUMBERJACK UNDER THE TREE was a cute read and I liked seeing Blake and Caleb get their second chance at falling in love. I appreciated the frank conversation they had about their history; Blake forgives Caleb pretty quick but it's a novella so I wouldn't expect it to be drawn out. I also enjoyed the cameo of Hunter and Nick from Andrews's other book SANTA DADDY.

Hmmmmmm. Cute and okay. But just like Keira’s other Christmas novellas, it would’ve been way better had it been a full length novel. Kinda rushed and all forgiven between the two MC’s in the span of two pages. I did enjoy it, just would’ve loved it had it been full length with more depth.
