*Sigh* I wanted to like this and there were so many fun things in here but it needed to be edited down heavily. I swear if I had to read one more iteration of the same prophecy I was going to throw the book across a room.

This book really grew on me! I found it gripping from the start, but there was some overexplaining and cliché dialogue that kind of put me off at times. There were also parts of this that felt a little underdeveloped. I figured this would end up being a 3 star read for me, but then I got so hooked and found many parts of this genuinely moving. I ended up especially loving the relationship between Asha and Obi.
Also the multiple POVs worked well here and each one offered something to the story (which can't be said for all books with multiple povs!). Also I LOVE a good excerpt and this had so many of those.
The ending was satisfying but also left me excited for more!

I loved this book so much. Its star wars and dr who reminiscent but I've never read anything like this!
It's a space opera spanning centuries- its queer and tackles colonialism and a tyrant emperor but also it delves into the British Monarchy in the early 1800's.
It's a space opera spanning centuries- its queer and tackles colonialism and a tyrant emperor but also it delves into the British Monarchy in the early 1800's.
It's a love story and theres time travel and spaceships and aliens and it will destroy you. But you're gonna love it and there's some great humor at the most surprising moments which I found really delightful.
The pacing is excellent and it’s really hard to put down!

It needs another round of copy edits, especially back half of book. Lots of proofreading errors. Story is good though and I really enjoyed the characters and worlds!
I really just cat get into the book. There are some glaring continuity errors, sometimes within the same chapter. It's about to put me in a reading slump, so it's time to move on.
