I really enjoyed this book. I would give it a 4.5 if I could. The first 1/3 is a slow build but once it starts rolling it just goes and goes. In one scene the dialogue was meh. But that's just me being super picky, right? This book is phenomenal. The atmosphere and the reveals are incredible.

gagged! happy october

This is the third books I’ve tried by this author and couldn’t get into the story. (Ditto for previous books) The writing is fine, the characters are relatively interesting, yet I find myself bored. The religion in this story is also smothering, which might be part of my disinterest.

So close to perfect, there was a couple of little things that confused me at the end.

I loved Jack and Flo and it was so cool to see my hometown get a mention, even if it wasn't in the best context.

The plot twists had me so shocked even though the signs were all there when I think about it.
dark medium-paced

Massively enjoyed reading this book and ended up staying up until about 2am to finish it. Ending was a bit of a let down but still a solid book that I will likely read again.
