I really enjoyed this book, but was anyone else bothered by the over usage of "dog collar"? One time use, then I think the reader gets it, it's a reference meaning that person is a member of the clergy. Otherwise loved all the twisty turns. Too petty? Lol

I find it hard to rate this book. On one hand, I love the spooky elements (of course). I mean you have ghosts, missing persons case, religious trauma, and a creepy village. I loved those elements a lot, and I loved the pacing of the story. However, some things in the book didn’t sit right with me on some character descriptions and some body shaming(?). Some parts also just seemed unfinished to me,
