Wanted to throw this across the room out of a window . The wedding night scene badly handles consent . Anthony angrily get butthurt about Kate asking to put off sex for a week , then lashes out saying he has the right to just “ take her as he sees fit” as they’re married. Marital rape much? He then interrogated her as to why she’s saying no as if saying no isn’t a complete sentence asking inappropriate questions like prior assault history etc. then starts whining about his own desires and how he can’t handle a week or no sex so she gives in. Coercion much ..  the show is MUCH BETTER.

Kate me gusto demasiado 💖 Sin embargo, Anthony  me pareció insoportable con sus actitudes misóginas🙄

Definitely not as good as The Duke & I, but it was still entertaining and interesting.

The Viscount Who Loved Me is a cute, fun, and indulgent read. While I thoroughly enjoyed the buildup to the relationship (the tension, the pining, the unrealized not-quite-unrequited admiration!), once the main couple actually got together, I found the story a bit boring and rushed. Additionally, the means by which the couple got together felt a little too much like a deus ex machina to me. However, I may have gone into this book with too high of expectations, as most Bridgerton fans rave(d) about Book #2 being the best of the series, and I have read (and plan to read) only Bridgerton Book #2. Nevertheless, I mostly enjoyed the book and am excited to watch Season 2 of the TV adaptation.

Fans of regency romance and the (extremely mild form of) enemies-to-lovers, marriage of convenience, and reformed rake tropes will enjoy The Viscount Who Loved Me.

It's an alright book but don't go in to it expecting it to be like the nexflix series.
