While not part of the American Princess series, there were references to it and the characters. In other words, having that back story isn’t necessary but ties in parts of this story.

Overall, it did feel like American Princess in a different setting. I’m all for a good why choose, but it felt so similar that it brought me out of the story. Though, I will admit the spice (both MM and MF) were top notch, and I did enjoy the troubled soldier turned bodyguard turned lover story. Some parts did seem to move a little slow, but I think that’s the nature of these books due to the heavy themes.

Of course, the surprise at the end will keep me going with the series. The author as excellent and keeping interest piqued!

(Side note: I started this book but had to put it down because I wasn't in the mood for something "heavy." While this book isn't of a deep, dark nature, it did technically take me longer than two days to complete it, as I tend to prefer lighter reads.)

OH MY GOD SIERRA NEVER MISSES! I need the next book immediately

As erotica goes, Salt Kiss stands out for its strong character development and compelling storyline. Compared to other books in the genre, it leans more toward a slow burn—which I found refreshing. While it certainly delivers on the spice once it gets going, the pacing gives readers time to invest in the emotional arcs first. That balance between plot and passion makes the experience feel richer and more grounded, rather than just a whirlwind of steamy scenes. I’m definitely intrigued to continue the series and see where the story goes next.

90% of this book was fantastic. Sierra should have ended the book 100 pages earlier, and had the last bit be a part of the 2nd book. I’m so in love with Mark/Tristian that it makes my heart hurt. Hahah. I hate that I have to wait 6 months for the next one!

Couldn’t put it down. I loved every moment of this book. I’m literally salivating to jump into Honeycut
