Wow. I say it all the time. I’ll say it again. Sierra Simone always delivers. I HIGHLY suggest you read the free prequel novella (Salt In the Wound) before diving into this, because it will answer a lot of questions about Mark’s future wife and some of the why’s you might come across.

I’ve never felt so conflicted about a character. I don’t know how I feel about Mark. He’s not a good guy, but at this point, I also don’t quite feel that he’s a bad guy either? His attraction to and his banter with his VIRGIN body guard (who is also his new step-nephew??) is so apparent and just killed me. Mark is a scary man who loves a good technicality.

Tristan is just.. pure. He’s tortured, he’s golden retriever. He’s adorable. And man, sometimes is the boy stupid as hell. I wanted to knock some sense into him while at the same time being like, “Poor, sweet baby. Please, let me hug you.”

I’m loving the relationship(?) between Mark and Tristan right now and can’t wait to see how Isolde fits into all of it.. Or I suppose how Tristan fits into Mark & Isolde’s relationship, seeing as they are set to be married.

And can we talk about that ending? “We have much to discuss.” Oh, hell. Mark me down as scared and horny. I am desperately waiting for the release of Honey Cut next year!
