I just had such a dang good time while reading this book. I finished it over the course of just two days, and already have the next book in the series on hold.
Let’s be real, Sierra Simone is one of the absolute queens of writing spice. Because it’s not even just the spicy moments themselves, it’s the build-up of tension, and the power dynamics between the characters. I found myself falling in love with Mark just as much as Tristan did, with the way he calmly and confidently commanded a room. And then seeing the dynamic flip on its head with Tristan and Isolde was so good.

Basic gist is Tristan Thomas, Mark Trevena’s new brother in law through marriage is out of the army painted a hero for his prior actions he just feels broken and adrift. Deciding to accept a job offer from Mark is totally out of his comfort zone especially because Mark owns an exclusive sex club that deals in secrets. There's also a massive cloud of secrecy and rumours regarding his new boss and his former role in the CIA.
Lines are blurred and feelings caught Mark is an enigma with obvious secrets but Tristan falls deep. Finding out his lover is engaged to be married to Isolde was a shock and at the same time felt like a betrayal. Then to be asked to collect his bride and spend three weeks closeted together with her on a yacht well let’s just say Tristans initial reluctance soon abates when he gets to know the elusive Isolde better.
I enjoyed this and I adore how this whole series is crafted, first with the novella adding such context with Isolde and Mark centre stage and then in this first book learning and getting to know Tristan and what makes him tick. It was such a unique narration style that just worked. I did find the first third of this a touch slow but once things picked up it was full steam ahead.
I have some deep suspicions regarding Marks motives and how this all played out and am so intrigued about everything to come. I'm seriously debating though if I should hold off reading the next book until the conclusion releases as i don't want to
be left hanging and I felt this didn't do that. I can happily wait but in the same breath I want to know what's next, decisions decisions.

Do not come to this book unless you’re prepared to not to hear mention of Isolde for the first 70% of it. Literally, she is not mentioned until the 70% mark. It’s fine that this is a m/m sexual/kink awakening, that’s just not what was advertised in the blurb.
