My first Sierra Simone book and this was a good, wild, fun toxic romance ride. I really enjoyed reading this book and seeing what shenanigans the main character Tristen was getting into with the love interest. The mmc is a ex solider with ptsd who finally gets a job with Mark(a love interest)who owns a kink club. The mc is pretty much attracted to Mark instantly which was loser behavior a bit ngl. Like instantly wanting to be someone’s sub is one thing but begging him for it is the down bad behavior I dislike.
There’s a lot of kinky stuff that happens between mark and Tristen but everything comes full circle when he has to go and pick up Mark’s fiancee and hes also instantly attracted to her. They get to know each other and hook up on the boat without mark and I actually like them. I’m interested to see how the romance develops between all 3 of them because the development of each couple was pretty good.
Read for:
- Bodyguard romance
- MMF
- Bisexual characters
- Kink club
- Morally grey character
- Tristen and Isolde retelling
- Forbidden romance
- Very spicy

“I need to be his. On my knees, on my back, humiliated, bruised, used. Whatever he wants me to be, I want it too.”
Well. Do I even have words at this point? I don’t think so. I am so hooked in this series it is insane. Out here finding chores to do so I could keep listening. I loved having this all from Tristan’s POV. You really got to understand his character that way. Sometimes one POV can make the sexy scenes less powerful, but let me tell you, that was not the case here. It was so incredibly hot. Whew.
Oscar Reyes did an absolutely outstanding job narrating this book. I already want to listen to it again.

Salt Kiss- Sierra Simone

First of all, this book has no business being as hot as it is. I don’t know why I’m surprised, it’s classic Sierra Simone spice we’re talking about here. But I also can’t wait to see what’s to come in the rest of the series. So far we’ve seen Mark and Isolde (in Salt in the Wound), Mark and Tristan, and Tristan and Isolde. To say I’m ready to see the trifecta is an understatement! I have so many theories formulating about what’s to come, but I’ve read enough from Sierra Simone to know that she will let you in on all the twists and turns exactly when she wants you to know. I won’t go into too much detail since we’re super early in the series still, but I loved this book, and I’m super excited to see what’s to come.
Oscar did a phenomenal job on this narration. It’s a single POV all from Tristan’s POV and he did such a great job bringing everyone to life but mostly Tristan since we’re in his head.

Damn this book was f**king hot & one of the spiciest books I’ve read in a whileeeeee…
Tristan’s breeding kink vibes were something special 🤭 goddamn that man is hot.
So pretty much two virgins capture the attention of Mark Trevena, a sexy older man & owner of a sex club that’s filled with secrets. One is his bodyguard and the other is his future wife. Both have their own kinks & desires, but Jesus everyone is so hot in their own ways. Lord have mercy I don’t think my 🐱 is ready for book two eeeeeek.

Oh my lord, we're back (after Salt in the Wound). We've finally met Tristian. My heart. Is there anything more lovely than a wounded hero?
We get to see a different side to Mark in this that we haven't necessarily seen before. Going in I felt like my mind was already made up and my feelings were already set, and I saw them wavering a little...until they didn't. Until I was like WTF! This MF. how could he be this cruel? It made sense how Isolde kept calling him the Devil because he is so evil in what he does, and how he goes about it. Like take out the things he's doing and the reasoning, just focus on what he does to Tristian and to Isolde and it just had me threatening bodily harm to a fictional character.
It was a fantastic listen, I've said it before and I'll say it again, Sierra is one of the top-tier writers. The way that she writes is just so beautifully crafted. Oscar Reyes, how is he so good? I loved the contrast that he delivers with the differences between Tristan and Mark, we get the vulnerability and difficulties that Tristan is having and him falling first for everybody, and the way that it's his personality and the impact that has had on him, and in contrast we have Mark who is, Mark.
It is produced by Lyric Audiobooks and the production is fantastic.
It was fantastic, and I am going straight into Honey Cut. It's a must-listen, and you should definitely dive in once you've done Salt in the Wound.
