I bought this over 30 years ago and have moved it from place to place. Never expected it to be so relevant when I finally picked it up. Read a bit at a time, I found the roots of the Protestant Reformation to be interesting and multi-faceted.

Interesting!! I was a little confused with how everyone is as the book continues. I also don’t know much about the 14th century so that also played into being a little bit confused.

Tuchman's writing is as sharp as ever but the shear breadth of content covered in this work undermines it. It can not help but feel bloated and often times lacking in focus.
