This book was a great read. I borrowed it from my grandmother, and it almost felt like an apt read for our current situation. All the chaos that happened around the same time as the Black Death - although not necessarily causation - definitely have some correlations. It was a great narrative, and I liked the approach Tuchman took to tell the story of the 14th century.

Superb research and story-telling. I've always detested history of the medieval schism, but Tuchman makes it interesting, and the rest of the era fascinating.

It turns out I didnt want to read that much about the 14th century but thats not the books fault

I dunno - I like the writing and the subject matter but it was still a bit dull. Maybe Bc I listened to it on audio?

A wonderful book, but a little setback: though many people claim it can be read as a novel, I say it cannot be, under any circumstances, considered a novel

Enguerrand de coucy the love letter

This book is information dense and thus a lot of it is forgotten by me but i would love to read it instead of listen to it.
Sadly its about enguerrand who whilst its valid to like, i personally now know more about him than i have ever and will ever wish lolol
But v well written if a bit too monotone in some parts. Id deffo read another book by them, especially if its shorter cus my brain feels v smooth rn XD
