Holy smokes but TRUTH OR DARE was one hot and sexy read! This was my first book by Danielle Allen but I'll definitely be checking out her other books. I read this in one sitting and I absolutely loved Simone and Kingston. They were fun, so flirty, and super sexy and their years of friendship was a great foundation for more. While they've lived in separate cities since graduating from college they (and their other friends) have all kept in touch and remained close. A fun getaway for Chloe and Dom's wedding is the perfect chance to reminisce on old times and play some truth or dare. After a sexy kiss opens Simone and Kingston's eyes to their mutual attraction they can't stay away.

This was pretty low-angst which was nice and I loved seeing how close all these friends were and how they supported, teased, and cared for each other. Simone and Kingston are unsure at first about hooking up because they don't want to mess up their friendship and the group as a rule about no friends-with-benefits but the attraction is just too strong. Throw in a little drama over Chloe wanting to set up Kingston with her sister, Corrine, and some tension between Tisha and Eli who have hooked up in the past and it was all a great mix. I enjoyed this one so much and it's the perfect sexy, dirty, and sweet romance.

This DESERVED to be a book!! I needed so much more from this novella- give me every characters backstory, how they all met, where they’re all headed in life! It just had the perfect potential to bre a whole series based on each character!!!

It was quick, romantic and steamy.
I loved the dynamic of the friend group. Also some of the punch lines and jokes had me laughing out loud.

Mmkay. I wanted to love this but the further I progressed the less I wanted to continue. There were things that just did not add up for me.

The so-called rules the friend group had made absolutely no sense. Why is it okay for two of the friends to hook up on and off but not okay for the two main characters?

The Corinne storyline made me want to put this down there and then. It was dumb, embarrassing and unnecessary. It also made Chloe come across as spoilt, entitled and immature.

4.5 stars. Freaking adorable/hot. Single POV. They’re 30. Friends to lovers but not in a pining way. Quite a few steamy scenes. Though the “drama” that happens is a bit juvenile for 30+ year olds (it made for good reading). A quick read and no major drama or anything between her and Kingston so all happy on the relationship end.

I liked the first half of the book, but I just felt like it was a compilation of sex scenes between Simone and Kingston throughout the entire book. There wasn't enough time it them having wholesome conversations and I felt like them addressing the long-distance relationship felt so rushed at the end. I don't know if them, as a couple, would actually make it outside of the book, in my opinion. I didn't see enough of their relationship to understand why Simone was thinking about doing a whole move from Virginia to Atlanta. I also think that Chloe and Corinne were messed up. I don't understand why Chloe would try to set Corinne up, knowing that she recently got out of a divorce. I felt like she only did it so that her parents can be happy for her. I felt like it was selfish in that regard, especially after seeing the chemistry between Simone and Kingston. While Corinne was going through things, it doesn't make her any less of acting shitty throughout the book. She was so mad about Simone having sex with Kingston, but she was hooking up with Omar in her own time. It doesn't make sense.
