I had the e-book version, so I saw several typos... these really threw me off.
Also, this book isn't straightforward - you have to stick it out, becausethe climax occurs toward the end of the book, and once it happens, the emotions can't stop.

Graphic: Child abuse, Sexual assault, Grief, Rape, and Ableism
Moderate: Alcohol, Pregnancy, Cursing, and Injury/Injury detail

I found this love story intriguing. The storyline was very captivating and I thought it was amazing how Cole seemed to know all that she could've possibly said, it would be great to know someone that much that you can understand even if they can't speak
The book Silence by Natasha Preston is an addictive book that will leave you on the edge of your seat and craving to read more. Oakley’s Story was really lifelike, what happened to her could happen to anyone, and I suggest you read it if you’re into romance.

I can't believe it's over! I should've realized I'd feel unfulfilled when I was 70% through and still not much had happened. I really enjoyed Oakley's POV but found Cole's so unnecessary. The pacing of the book was really off as well. One date would last two chapters while a week would pass by in a couple pages. I didn't get the problems with Julian and his complete about-face. I would read the next only because I did enjoy Oakley's character and want to learn more about the trauma she endured that left her mute.

I adored this book. Though I felt there were parts that could have been portrayed better, the characters felt real and Oakley was a wonderfully interesting person even when she wasn’t speaking. I wanted to meet her and help her with this situation as I read. Highly recommend.

This book sounded like a teenager wrote it. That’s both a good and bad thing. The writing was very blocked for me and apart from a couple moments, I found the story all but predictable.
This book however does deal with an issue not many book deal with and I praise the Author for accurately displaying the thoughts of someone in this situation.
I went into this book thinking it was a stand-alone and it’s a series. I’m humming about whether or not to read the next book but this book was enjoyable.

What a unique story, I read this book many years ago and loved it. My heart hurt so much for this girl who gave so much to make everyone happy. Oakley’s story is a sad and hard one to read/listen to but the story is one that sticks with you, not because of the nature of it but because sadly this isn’t always fiction for some this is their real life.
The way this story plays out makes you see how strong Oakley is and what she is tortured with every single day of her life. I love that she has this connection with Cole and how she can feel so safe with him. He makes her feel she is 100% fine just the way she is.
The narrators for this book are fantastic and do such a wonderful job bringing this story to life.

I don’t want to be rude, but wtf. This felt like a fanfic without a fandom attached to it. Weirdly written. Weirdly predictable. But I also read it in a night. I want to dislike it but I kinda hate read it
