I fear that I will never recover from this book. First of all, the dragons still remain my favorites with their sassy remarks. And all the side characters have my heart forever. Violet continues to be an absolute badass, and Xaden makes me fall in love more and more no matter what happens. The things that are revealed in this book had me quaking, and THE ENDING OMG. I’m so happy that I waited to read these books until right before Onyx Storm came out because I would not be able to handle waiting for the next book. I can’t wait to see where the story takes us next! Fourth Wing has such a special place in my heart. Is it a literary masterpiece? Obviously not, but it has such a chokehold on me lol I cannot wait for my copy of Onyx Storm to be delivered tomorrow!!

Better than The first book. It's very exciting and intriguing. Of course you can see the power of the plot here and there, but I feel like most of it feels like a natural development from the events in book 1.
The author "fixed" some of the things I didn't like. It's great to see how the love relationship progresses (and declines) and how Violet is growing by daring to make difficult choices and dealing with the consequences.
It's not perfect, sometimes boring with way too many characters, but I definitely enjoyed it.
